Ingredients
Method
- Step 1: Start by placing a wonton wrapper on a clean, flat surface, with one corner facing you.
- Step 2: Add a small amount of filling (about 1 teaspoon) in the center of the wrapper.
- Step 3: Dip your finger in water and moisten the edges of the wrapper. This step is crucial for sealing!
- Step 4: Fold the bottom corner of the wrapper over the filling to the top corner, creating a triangle shape.
- Step 5: Press the edges firmly to seal the wonton, ensuring no air is trapped inside.
- Step 6: To create a traditional shape, bring the two side corners together and pinch to seal.
- Step 7: Repeat the process with any remaining wrappers and filling.
- Step 8: Finally, cook the wontons according to your desired method: boiling, frying, or steaming.
Notes
Don’t overfill your wontons, and make sure to seal them well to prevent any leaks. If not cooking immediately, store wrapped wontons covered with a damp cloth.
