- Step 1: In a pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add the tapioca pearls and cook according to package instructions until they become translucent. Once done, drain and rinse them under cold water. Set aside.
- Step 2: In another pot, steam the taro cubes until soft, about 15-20 minutes. Once cooked, mash the taro until smooth.
- Step 3: In a separate saucepan, combine the coconut milk, sugar, and a pinch of salt. Heat over medium heat until the sugar dissolves, stirring occasionally.
- Step 4: Once the coconut milk mixture is heated, add the mashed taro and cooked tapioca pearls. Stir well to combine and heat until warm.
- Step 5: Serve warm or chilled in bowls. Enjoy your Taro Tapioca Pearl Dessert!
Notes
This dessert can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about 3 days. Just reheat it gently on the stove or enjoy it cold!
