- Step 1: In a mixing bowl, combine the minced fish, chopped onion, grated carrot, egg, soy sauce, mirin, salt, and pepper. Mix well until the ingredients are thoroughly combined.
- Step 2: Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Step 3: Take a spoonful of the mixture and shape it into a patty or oval shape. Carefully place it in the hot oil.
- Step 4: Fry the patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
- Step 5: Remove the fried Satsuma Age from the pan and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
- Step 6: Serve warm as an appetizer or side dish. Enjoy!
Notes
These are great to make ahead and freeze for a quick meal later. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
