  • 1 medium onion finely chopped
  • 1 cup mushrooms sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 cup tomato sauce For a rich and tangy element.
  • 1 cup grated cheese e.g., mozzarella or cheddar
  • 2 tbsp olive oil For sautéing.
  • to taste salt Essential seasoning.
  • to taste pepper Essential seasoning.
  • 1 tsp dried oregano For that wonderful Italian flavor.
  • 1 tsp garlic powder A must for savory dishes!

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Step 2: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until it becomes translucent.
  3. Step 3: Add the ground meat to the skillet and cook until browned. Season with salt, pepper, oregano, and garlic powder.
  4. Step 4: Stir in the sliced mushrooms and broccoli florets, cooking until the vegetables are tender.
  5. Step 5: Pour in the tomato sauce and mix well. Allow the mixture to simmer for about 5 minutes.
  6. Step 6: In a baking dish, layer the cooked rice evenly at the bottom.
  7. Step 7: Pour the meat and vegetable mixture over the rice, spreading it evenly.
  8. Step 8: Sprinkle the grated cheese on top of the mixture.
  9. Step 9: Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and golden brown.
  10. Step 10: Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
