  1. Step 1: In a large bowl, combine 1 cup of sea salt with 1 gallon of water to create a saline solution. Stir it well to ensure the salt dissolves completely.
  2. Step 2: Soak the clams in the saline solution for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
  3. Step 3: After soaking, carefully remove the clams from the water. Rinse them thoroughly under cold running water.
  4. Step 4: Check each clam. Discard any that are open and do not close when tapped.
  5. Step 5: Your clams are now clean and ready for cooking!

Notes
