- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Step 2: In a mixing bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Whisk until well blended.
- Step 3: Place the spatchcocked chicken on a baking sheet, skin side up.
- Step 4: Brush the honey soy mixture generously over the chicken, ensuring it is evenly coated.
- Step 5: Roast the chicken in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes or until the skin is crispy and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Step 6: Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes.
- Step 7: Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
Leftover chicken can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. If you want to keep it longer, feel free to freeze it for up to 3 months.
