- Step 1: In a mixing bowl, combine the glutinous rice flour, sugar, and matcha green tea powder.
- Step 2: Gradually add water to the dry ingredients, stirring until smooth.
- Step 3: Transfer the mixture to a microwave-safe dish and cover with plastic wrap.
- Step 4: Microwave on high for 1 minute, stir, cover again, and microwave for another minute. Stir once more, then microwave for a final 30 seconds.
- Step 5: Let the mixture cool slightly, then dust a surface with cornstarch.
- Step 6: Transfer the mochi mixture to the surface and dust with more cornstarch, flattening into a rectangle or square.
- Step 7: Cut the flattened mochi into small squares or circles.
- Step 8: Place a small amount of sweet red bean paste in the center of each piece, fold over, and pinch to seal.
- Step 9: Roll finished mochi in cornstarch to prevent sticking and serve.

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days, or refrigerate with cornstarch to prevent sticking.
