- Step 1: In a mixing bowl, combine the mirin, soy sauce, sake (if using), sugar, grated ginger, and sesame oil. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
- Step 2: Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
- Step 3: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Step 4: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the marinated salmon fillets on it, skin-side down.
- Step 5: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- Step 6: Remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat gently in the oven or microwave.
