Ingredients
  

For the Chicken Stir-Fry
  • 1 lb chicken breast thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil any neutral oil works well
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 bunch garlic chives cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 1 medium bell pepper sliced
  • 1 medium carrot julienned
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce for umami flavor
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce adds depth and richness
  • 1 tsp sesame oil for finishing touch
  • Salt and pepper
  • Cooked rice

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Step 2: Add the sliced chicken breast and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Step 3: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Step 4: Add the bell pepper and carrot; stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  5. Step 5: Return the cooked chicken to the skillet. Stir in the garlic chives, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Mix well and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  6. Step 6: Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Step 7: Serve hot over cooked rice and enjoy!

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Add a splash of water or soy sauce when reheating to revive moisture.
