- Step 1: Rinse the black soybeans under cold water to remove any dust or impurities.
- Step 2: In a large pot, combine the rinsed black soybeans and 4 cups of water.
- Step 3: Bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat.
- Step 4: Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and cover the pot. Let it simmer for 1 to 1.5 hours, or until the beans are tender.
- Step 5: Drain any excess water and season with salt to taste. Serve warm or let cool for later use.
Notes
Soaking the beans overnight can reduce cooking time, but it's not necessary. Store cooked beans in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to five days or freeze for up to three months.
